I’m very suddenly going to see Conan O’Brien live on April 30th. Sure, it was $96, but this seems kinda once in a lifetime. If you’ve been following Conan O’Brien on Twitter since he started on February 24th, you’ve had the delight of seeing that Conan can be funny in 140 character size too. It seemed like we could happily await a tweet a day from him. This one is my favorite. Then, he “followed” his first person, a teenage girl, and completely changed her life, and that was wonderful to see. Well, today he announced he’s going a tour. It’s hard not to feel like it’s a little coincidental. After all, it’s only been two weeks since he started tweeting. Oh well, the word is he’s not going to make any money off of the tour, and is doing it so his crew can be employed until September, when in all likelihood he’ll start a show on Fox. I’m sure he’ll deliver quality entertainment in the show, so I’m happy to feel a little taken advantage of.
Now I do more. Of course I can’t find a video of the whole interview to post, she keeps her shit very exclusive. Jimmy Kimmel put together a great montage of Leno’s answers during the Oprah interview. Clearly Leno feels like he’s the victim somehow. I guess his poor feelings got hurt. He says “TV isn’t fair”. Hopefully he remembers that when his ratings at 11:30 suck.
Again, I turn to Bill Hicks. Very NSFW. This recording is 20 years old, so I’ve always known that Jay Leno is garbage. Conan O’Brien is getting screwed.
